‘What drives me? Making a difference and successfully getting things off the ground. I want to contribute my knowledge and experience gained during my career and also give something back in the process. This should be long term in nature – it’s important to me to focus on areas where my actions have a lasting effect and don't just quickly fall flat. The Tiffany Circle gives me this opportunity.’
Janina Kugel serves on the supervisory board of several companies and works as a Senior Advisor at the Boston Consulting Group. Prior to this, the economist and mother of two was a Member of the Managing Board and Labour Director at Siemens AG. She has been a long-standing advocate for greater diversity in business and society and was an initiator of the #ichwill campaign. Janina Kugel is recognised as one of the 100 most influential women in German business. Her book It’s now was published in 2021. In addition to her engagement in a wide range of social initiatives, she is also a founding member of the Tiffany Circle Germany, established in 2023.
‘Between work and private life, time is in short supply. So it’s all the more important to use what’s left usefully and efficiently in order to make a difference. I want my engagement to have an impact where help is needed. This calls for a certain degree of experience, coordination and professionalism. The Tiffany Circle can build here on the existing structures of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, in which it is embedded and whose work it supports. One of the Movement’s key principles is: providing help where help is needed – according to needs.’
Virginie Briand was appointed Director Creative Consulting at Deloitte Digital in 2022. The business and transformation consultant with proven expertise in digital communication is also a systemic business coach and advises executives and organisations on everything from communication and leadership to digital transformation. On completing her studies, Virginie Briand began her career with BMW, eventually becoming Head of International Advertising and International Autoshows, before establishing the agency 19:13 with a partner in 2008. She shares her experience in a number of ways, including as a columnist for the specialist ‘meedia’ portal – and is now channelling the lessons she has learned along the way into dedicated service as a founding member of the Tiffany Circle Germany.
‘I’ve always been attracted to the idea of making a difference in the humanitarian space. I lead a varied life and have an exciting career, and I like to give something back – without straying into blind actionism. Instead, I want to provide coordinated help with the greatest possible impact. This is precisely where the Tiffany Circle comes in. Not only that, I’m excited about getting involved in a new area and building something collaborative with like-minded people.’
Stephanie Schorp has been engaged in executive selection, recruitment and development for over 20 years. Having held positions in large and medium-sized companies, the psychologist has now been a businesswoman for more than ten years. She is Managing Director of Comites – personality matters, an international recruitment consultancy that fills top-level management positions and conducts deep development work with executives. She also runs a platform linking philosophy, psychology and management, is author of the book Persönlichkeit macht Karriere (English: Personality Makes a Career), published by Campus, and acts as a senior advisor on business ventures and charitable projects. As a founding member of the Tiffany Circle Germany, she can now further devote herself to her core aim of supporting people in difficult life situations.
